Terms of Service
1. Scope
These Terms of Service apply to the use of the web application grafcet.io and the purchase of Pro licenses. By using grafcet.io and/or purchasing a Pro license, the user accepts these terms.
2. Contracting Party
The provider of the software and contracting party of the usage agreement is: Curved Corner UG (haftungsbeschränkt) represented by its Managing Director Fabian Fuchs Kampenwandstraße 18 83104 Ostermünchen Germany Email: hi@grafcet.io Pro licenses are sold through Paddle.com Market Limited acting as Merchant of Record and authorised reseller. Paddle is therefore the legal seller and the contracting party of the purchase contract; payment, invoicing and refunds are handled by Paddle. Curved Corner UG (haftungsbeschränkt) is your point of contact for support as well as for withdrawal and refunds.
3. Service Description
Free Use
grafcet.io provides a free GRAFCET editor with all drawing features. This includes creating and editing GRAFCETs, export as PNG, PDF and SVG (with watermark) and in the .grafcetio format, GRAFCET simulation (limited to 5 steps), and a local history of the last 3 GRAFCETs in the browser. With a free user account, 3 cloud save slots are additionally available.
Pro License
The Pro license includes the following additional features: unlimited cloud storage (instead of 3 slots), export without watermark, title block in the PDF export, and unlimited GRAFCET simulation. It is available as a yearly and monthly license as well as a volume license for schools and teams (10, 30 or 99 keys). The applicable prices are shown on the pricing page and during checkout.
4. Contract Conclusion
The contract for a Pro license is concluded when the user completes the purchase process via the payment provider Paddle and receives the license key by email. The license key confirms the successful conclusion of the contract. The buyer concludes the purchase contract for the licence key with Paddle.com Market Limited as Merchant of Record; the usage contract for the software and the user account is between the buyer and the provider (Curved Corner UG (haftungsbeschränkt)).
5. Prices and Payment
The Pro license is available as a yearly license (365 days validity), a monthly license (30 days validity) and a volume license (10, 30 or 99 keys). The applicable prices are shown on the pricing page and during checkout; they may vary by country or region (including purchasing-power-adjusted prices). The price displayed during checkout before conclusion of the contract is decisive. Payment is processed via Paddle as Merchant of Record; the invoice including any applicable VAT or sales tax is issued by Paddle. Which payment methods are available depends on country, currency and device and is shown during checkout (e.g. credit card, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay as well as local payment methods such as SEPA direct debit or iDEAL).
6. License Key and Activation
After successful payment, the user receives a license key by email. This key is activated in the user account on grafcet.io. The license key is valid for 365 days (yearly license) or 30 days (monthly license) from activation. Device changes are possible at any time, as the license is tied to the user account.
7. Term and Renewal
The Pro license has a term of 12 months (yearly license) or 1 month (monthly license) from activation. There is no automatic renewal. The user can renew the license at any time by purchasing a new license.
8. Right of Withdrawal
Statutory rights of withdrawal apply. Activating the licence key in the account panel constitutes the start of contract performance under § 356 (5) German Civil Code. Before activation the buyer may withdraw the key via the self-service form on the /refund page within 14 days. Upon activation the buyer expressly consents that delivery begins immediately and the right of withdrawal lapses accordingly. The consent and the notice of lapse are additionally confirmed to the buyer by confirmation email (durable medium under § 126b BGB). Details: separate refund policy on grafcet.io.
9. Limitation of Liability
The provider is only liable for damages caused by intentional or grossly negligent conduct. Liability for data loss is excluded insofar as the user has failed to perform adequate data backups. Service availability is not guaranteed. The provider endeavors to ensure uninterrupted usability but does not warrant it.
10. Data Protection
Information on the processing of personal data can be found in the privacy policy on grafcet.io.
11. Dispute Resolution
The provider is not willing or obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (§ 36 VSBG). The online dispute resolution (ODR) platform provided by the European Commission was discontinued on 20 July 2025.
12. Final Provisions
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country in which the consumer has their habitual residence remain unaffected. Should individual provisions of these terms be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected. The invalid provision shall be replaced by a provision that comes closest to the economic purpose of the invalid provision. The contract language is German; the German version of these terms is authoritative, translations into other languages are provided for information only.
